Harvard Economist Roland Fryer with HBS Alums Ian Rowe & Nique Fajors

Invisible Men | Part I  Part II

On their podcast Invisible Men, Ian Rowe and Nique Fajors from AEI interview Harvard professor Roland Fryer on his quest to study some of the most contentious problems in today’s society through an economic lens.

“I really believed--and still believe, that if you look at the data carefully, and actually use science to help understand and fix the issues of being black in America, the data is the best way forward … So I set out on an absolute personal mission of 80 hours a week, for two decades, to do that. To have proof that was above reproach.”

“I find it frustrating, I find it insulting, that people would change the truth because they think they’re trying to help us. They’re just trying to help themselves, let’s be clear.”
