To our knowledge, the Harvard Salient, the conservative Harvard newspaper, was the first Harvard group—alumni, student, or administrative—to condemn the 10/8 student letter blaming Israel for the Hamas attacks. They wrote immediately, without fear, moral confusion, or equivocation. This is exactly what we want to see and uphold as an example — one student group challenging the ideas of another.
